Sudden Death Takes Harry D. Nash
The sudden death last Monday afternoon of Harry D. Nash, well known resident of San Rafael for the past thirty-five years, was a distinct shock to his great number of friends here.
Stricken without warning while at work on Fifth street, where he was engaged at his trade of carpenter, his death was instantaneous. According to the verdict of Dr. J. H. Kuser, who later made an examination, heart trouble was the cause of death.
Harry Nash was highly respected by those who knew him, and there were few men here who did not have the pleasure of his acquaintance. He had made his home for the last 19 years at the residence of Joseph Iler, and so far as is known he had no close relatives in this state. He was 64 years of age and a native of Ohio. Up to a short time ago and for many years prior, he had been a responsible employee of the Jensen & Schlosser Lumber Company. At the time of his death he was the president of Carpenters & Joiners Union No. 35.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with services at the parlors of the F. E. Sawyer Company. The members of the organization of which he was the president will attend in a body. Dr. Lynn T. White, who was a personal friend of the deceased, will officiate.
