RHEA O. DAVIS
A funeral for Rhea O. Davis, a longtime Inverness resident, was held today in Petaluma.
Mrs. Davis, 79, died Friday at a local hospital after an illness. She had lived in Petaluma for three years.
Mrs. Davis was born in Saginaw, Mich., and moved to Sacramento as a 5-year-old. She lived in Oakland and Redwood Valley before moving to the Murphy Ranch at Inverness in 1932.
Mrs. Davis worked as a cook at the ranch for a few years and lived there until 1965 when her husband, Henry W. Davis, died. She lived in Point Reyes Station before moving to Petaluma.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Golden Age Club of Petaluma.
She is survived by a son, Robert Davis of Petaluma; two daughters, Jo Ann Graham of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Carol Simon of Inverness; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Olema Cemetery, Olema.
