Veteran R. R. Man Dies Suddenly
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Charles Locati, who died last Sunday from an illness which had kept him confined to his home in San Anselmo for some time.
His death was unexpected. The end came as he was en route to St. Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco for treatment.
The deceased was one of the pioneer railroad men of Marin county. He had been employed on the Northwestern Pacific and its predecessor for 36 years and was well and favorably known by all who had been associated with him in his long service. He was 53 years of age and was born in Italy.
Surviving him are his sorrowing widow, Mrs. Ester Locati, and three children, Charles A., Marty and Helen Locati. He was a brother of Mrs. Rose Bottini.
Services were held at the parlors of the F. E. Sawyer Company and later at St. Anselm’s church, where a requiem high mass was celebrated. Burial was made in Mount Olivet cemetery, San Rafael.
