ALEXANDER G. BELL
Alexander G. Bell, father of Evelyn Robinson of Greenbrae, died Friday in a Methuen, Mass., hospital after a short illness. He was 79.
Bell was a native of Scotland. He came to the United States in 1924 and spent most of his working life as a fitter for Bethlehem Steel Co. in Quincy, Mass.
Bell lived in San Rafael from 1971 until early this year.
Surviving are his wife, Bella G. Bell, of Salem, N.H.; two sons, Alexander G. Bell Jr. of Milton, Mass., and Robert A. Bell of Salem, N.H.; another daughter, Carolyn King of Essex Junction, Vt.; a brother, John Bell of Pembroke, Mass.; two sisters, Ellie McMaster of Weymouth, Mass. And Susan McCrimmon of Johnston, Scotland; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Quincy,Mass.
