GENEVIEVE G. SMITH
A Requiem Mass for Genevieve Grady Smith, a native of San Rafael, will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Church, San Rafael.
Mrs. Smith died Sunday after being struck by an automobile in Burlingame. She was 66.
Her relatives settled in the San Rafael area in the late 1800s. She attended San Rafael High School and Heald Business College of San Francisco.
In 1937 she married Dudley F. Smith. They lived for many years in San Francisco before moving to New Jersey, where she worked as a secretary for a large engineering contractor and manufacturer.
In May of last year, he retired as an executive with Keuffel and Esser Co., makers of slide rules, and the couple moved to Santa Rosa.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Williams and Heffernan Mortuary, San Rafael.
The family prefers memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.
