Sad tidings of the death of his father, Judge Albert G. Burnett, associate Justice of the Third District Court of Appeals, was received here Tuesday night from Sacramento by A. H. Burnett, of the Marin County Abstract Company.
Judge Burnett, formerly District Attorney and Superior Judge in Sonoma county, was a nephew of Peter H. Burnett, California’s first governor. He was widely known throughout the state, having served not long ago as Grand Master of the Masonic Order for the State of California.
He was 67 years of age, and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Dora Burnett, his son, Albert Hood Burnett, and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Burnett Diersson. A. H. Burnett left for Sacramento immediately upon receipt of the message.
Several San Rafael residents will attend the funeral to be held in Sacramento tomorrow afternoon.
