Convict Commits Suicide in Cell
Juan Reyna, 31, serving a sentence of from one to 10 years from Los Angeles for manslaughter, and of one to 10 years for an assault with a deadly weapon, stabbed himself Sunday morning with a putty knife and died Monday morning.
His cellmates, Tommy Singala, Los Angeles burglar, and Francisco Loreno of Riverside, serving a term for manslaughter, heard him moaning in his cell, and summoned guards, who found that he had stabbed himself six times about the heart. Removed to the hospital, he died the following morning.
