VIRGINIA D. BOUCKE

Virginia D. Boucke, 63, of Greenbrae, died Monday night of a heart attack in her home.

Mrs. Boucke, a fourth-generation Californian, was born and reared in St. Helena. Her great-grandfather came to Franklin outside Sacramento as a farmer before the Gold Rush.

She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and had been married for 40 years to Fredric C. Boucke, a retired Standard Oil of California executive. During his career with the oil company, they lived in Europe and the United States, and for many years lived on the Peninsula.

Mrs. Boucke was a founding member of the Peninsula Volunteers, an organization raising money for a home for the aged.

She and her husband lived in Marin for the past four years.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Barbara Violich of Kentfield and Terri Anne Boucke of Novato; a son, David Boucke of Kentfield; and two grandchildren.

Family services will be private.
