MARIO G. FERRARIO
Mario G. Ferrario, a 56-year resident of San Rafael and longtime employee of the Marin Municipal Water District, died yesterday at his home following a long illness. He was 78.
He was born in Lonate Pozzolo, Italy, and immigrated to American in 1922, settling in Marin.
For 30 years Ferrario was a foreman of pipeline construction crews in the water district.
He was the past president of the Club D’Italia, a Marin organization, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, San Rafael Aerie No. 256.
Ferrario is survived by his wife, Josephine, of the family home; a daughter. Mary Ferrario O’Brien of San Rafael, two brothers and two sisters in Italy, and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Raphael’s Church. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at Keaton’s Mortuary.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Marin Catholic High School drama fund.
