Accidentally Drowned In Petaluma Creek

Raymond Puccinelli, of San Francisco, was accidentally drowned last Thursday near the Black Point bridge while bathing in the Petaluma Creek.

He had been living for a few days in an ark on the bank of the creek in the hope of recuperating from a recent illness.

The body was seen on the bank by the crew of the Steamer Gold and the discovery was communicated to Peter Walsh, who lives nearby. Walsh made the body fast and notified Coroner J. Ray Keaton, who later shipped the remains to San Francisco for burial.

The dead man was wearing a bathing suit when the body was found. It is believed that while in bathing he was seized with a heart attack. An inquest will be held by Coroner Keaton. Puccinelli was 28 years of age.
