CHESTER A. CLARK

Chester Anderson Clark, a retired Marin plumber, died Tuesday at a local hospital after an illness. He was 73.

A native of Mancon, Mo., he moved to Iowa where he married his wife, Helen. They moved to California during World War II and he began work as a plumber at the Marin shipyards. He retired 15 years ago.

Clark had lived in Mill Valley for many years and moved to Petaluma 11 years ago.

He also is survived by three daughters, Lavola Dowdle of Petaluma, Virginia Keane of Greenbrae and Kay Talmadge of San Rafael; two sons, Claude Clark of Prunedale and James Clark of Rohnert Park; two brothers, Lawrence Clark of Rock Island, Ill., and Delbert Clark of Los Angeles; a sister, Lotti Hinton of Santa Barbara; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Parent Funeral Chapel, Petaluma. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
