LOUIS FICHERA
Louis J. Fichera, 66, a self-employed watchmaker, of Novato, died Sunday at a local hospital after a long illness.
Fichera was a native of San Francisco and had lived in Marin 18 years.
He was a member of Indian Valley Branch 68, Sons in Retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Anna L. Fichera, of Novato; two daughters, Mary Lou Fichera of Redondo Beach and Shirley Ann Piazza of South San Francisco; a son, Paul Fichera, of San Francisco; a sister, Rose Schwartzler of Daly City; a brother, David Fichera of San Francisco, and five grandchildren.
Private family service will be held Wednesday at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo. Inurnment will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Hills. The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Marin or the American Cancer Society.
