MARIA BLOESER

Maria Bloeser, 68, of Corte Madera, a housewife, died today at a local hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Bloesser was the wife of George E. Bloeser, an executive with the United California Bank in San Francisco.

Mrs. Bloeser had been a Pink Lady at Marin General Hospital for many years and was a volunteer for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

She was a native of Bucharest, Romania, and she and her sister comprised the dance team that introduced tap dancing to Bucharest in the 1920s.

Mrs. Bloeser moved to the United States in 1947 and to Southern California in 1951.

Before she was married in 1958, she worked in the real estate loan department of a bank in Southern California.

Mrs. Bloeser had been a resident of Corte Madera since 1963.

Surviving, besides her husband, are her mother, Tonnmy Banescu of Los Angeles; and a sister, Monique Coen of Beverly Hills.

The memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Church, Larkspur. Inurnment will be private The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, Suite 6, San Rafael 94903.
