MRS. HELEN C. MINTO

Funeral for Helen C. Minto, who died only eight days after the death of her husband, Thomas D. Minto, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo.

Mrs. Minto died Friday at the same convalescent hospital in Greenbrae where he husband died on Jan. 18.

Mrs. Minto was born in Sonoma County. She met her husband, a real estate and insurance broker and longtime civic leader, when she was looking for a summer rental in Marin. They were married in 1922.

For many years the couple made their home in Greenbrae.

Mrs. Minto was a member of the Thursday Musical Club of Marin, The Book Club, Tamalpais Center and the women’s guild of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ross.

A son, Warren Schell, preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Jean Schell of Greenbrae, and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.

Visitation for friends will be from 5 to 9 o’clock tonight at the Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo.
