Arthur Adams Dies Suddenly in City
Arthur L. Adams, Past Master of Marin Lodge No. 191 of the Masons and Past Patron (?) of San Rafael Chapter of the Eastern Star, died suddenly early this morning at the Emergency Hospital in San Francisco.
Mrs. Lottie Laviosa, his daughter, of San Anselmo, received word from San Francisco at 11 o’clock last night that her father had been seized with a fainting attack, but that there did not seem to be cause for worry. This morning she received word that he had died without recovering consciousness.
The deceased had hosts of friends in Marin county, where he had lived for a great many years while employed in the post office department of San Francisco. He always had been active in fraternal work. It will be recalled that his son was shot and killed a year or so ago at the Ferry Postoffice while attempting to protect the mail from a bandit.
The funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 in the Masonic Hall, with services by the lodge. Charles V. Clark, Worthy Master, will lead.
The deceased was 66 years of age. The remains are now at the F. E. Sawyer parlors. Burial will be made in Tamalpais cemetery.
