Matthias Enos Hangs Himself

Matthias Enos, who has worked around Mill Valley and this city, committed suicide near Waldo Point at his brother John Enos’ place last Sunday morning. Deceased climbed into a tree, and tying one end of a rope to a limb and the other to his neck, jumped down.

Justice of the Peace Pryor in the absence of Coroner Sawyer held an inquest after which the body was turned over to Deputy Coroner Morrison who brought it to this city. Deceased was a native of the Azore Islands, age 50 years.
