SHIRLEY N. ZION

Shirley N. Zion of Rohnert Park, a former Fairfax resident, died Tuesday at a Santa Rosa hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 71.

A native of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Zion moved to Marin County in 1936. Her husband, Harvey L. Zion, was a real estate broker for many years.

The Zions moved to Rohnert Park in 1973. Mrs. Zion, a homemaker, was a member of the Fairfax Chapter of Order of Eastern Star.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Harvey L. Zion Jr. of South Lake Tahoe; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Santa Rosa Memorial Park Chapel. Burial will follow there.

The family prefers contributions to the American Cancer Society or to a favorite charity.
