JOSEPH H. GOULDING
Memorial services for Joseph H. Goulding, 81, a long-time resident of Mill Valley, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mill Valley Community Church.
He died Tuesday in a local retirement center.
A native of Proctor, Vt., he had lived in Mill Valley since 1930.
Goulding moved to Los Angeles as a young boy and later settled in San Francisco before moving to Mill Valley.
He had been an insurance broker with Travelers Insurance Co. in San Francisco for 42 years.
He was a veteran of World War I.
Goulding was a member and past commander of the Mill Valley American Legion Post No. 284.
He is survived by his wife, Grace M. Goulding of Mill Valley; a daughter, Dianne G. Starr of Santa Rosa; a son, James R. Goulding of San Mateo; five grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.
The family prefers memorial gifts to the American Heart Association. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Portland, Ore.
