VALERIE L. STERNENBERG

A funeral for Valerie L. Sternenberg of Mill Valley will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel, Mill Valley.

Mrs. Sternenberg, 58, died Saturday in a local hospital.

She was born in New Jersey. She and her husband, Walter, moved to San Francisco 18 years ago and to Mill Valley four years later. She ran a day care center in her Mill Valley home. She worked with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in New Jersey and was active in the Methodist Church in San Francisco.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jeri Sternenberg of Novato; and a son, Ted Sternenberg of Mill Valley.

Burial is private.
