JUNE L. LOCKETT
A funeral for June Louise Lockett of Novato, a 34-year Marin resident, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Keaton’s Chapel of Marin in Novato.
Mrs. Lockett, 58, had been missing since Aug. 4 when she had walked away from home. Her body was found in the Petaluma River marshlands near her home Sunday. The cause of death is undetermined.
Born in Oakland, Mrs. Lockett became active in the Marin community upon moving to the county in 1945. She was a member of the Marinwood chapter of the Sunny Hills Guild and belonged to the Novato, Rolling Hills and Olive Ridge tennis clubs.
Mrs. Lockett is survived by her husband, William O. Lockett, Jr., three sons, William M. Lockett of Penngrove and Frederick J. Lockett and Steven G. Lockett, both of Petaluma; two brothers, Robert Miller of Oakland and Fred Miller of Sonora; and a sister, Clara Rogers of Oakland.
Internment will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
The family prefers that donations go to Adventures/Unlimited, Sunny Hills Guild or a favorite charity.
