ALFRED J. QUARTARARO

A funeral for Alfred J. Quartararo of Sausalito will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel, Mill Valley.

Quartararo, 68, died Tuesday in a local hospital.

He was born and lived his life in Sausalito. He served in the Army in the Pacific during World War II. He worked for 20 years as a bus driver for the Sausalito School District. He was a volunteer fireman for 50 years. He also was a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West.

He is survived by his sister, Isabelle O. Quartararo of Sausalito.

Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

The family prefers memorial gifts to the American Heart Association.
