Antonio Ciotti Dies Of Heart Ailment

Antonio “Tonino” Ciotti was buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Wednesday, following mass at St. Raphael’s Church, and simple service at the Keaton Mortuary chapel.

Antonio died Monday morning in a local hospital where he was taken several weeks ago, following a heart attack.

The chapel was filled with close friends of the deceased, among them being Tony and Lena Savoni, proprietors of the Carmel Hotel, who had made Tony “one of the family” since he came to San Rafael over 20 years ago. He had been employed at the hotel.

Deceased is believed to have a niece living in Italy, which he left over 33 years ago. He was 61 years of age.
