Pioneer of Novato Passes Away
John Davis, known by his many friends as “Shorty,” passed away in Novato Tuesday from heart trouble. He had made his home in that section for the past forty years and was 76 years of age.
So far as is known he has no relatives living in this country. He was a native of England. For many years he had made his home with John Loustaunau. Some time ago he was a keeper for a gun club in Novato.
The funeral services will be held in Novato tomorrow at 11 o’clock, with burial under the direction of the F. E. Sawyer Company.

John Davis was found dead on Mr. Loustaunau’s porch at 10 o’clock Tuesday morning. Heart failure was the cause of his death. He was a resident of Novato for many years and was known as “Shorty” Davis. He was seventy-five years of age and a native of England.
