PETER GIORDANI
PIETRO RICCOMI
A joint memorial Mass for Peter “Harry” Giordani and Pietro Riccomi, both former San Rafael residents, will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in St. Raphael’s Mission Chapel in San Rafael.
Giordani died in an Oroville hospital Friday. He was 69. His uncle, Riccomi, had died four days earlier at the age of 91.
A native of San Francisco, Giordani moved to San Rafael in 1948 and lived there until last year when he retired to Oroville. He had owned and operated Pete’s Landscaping in San Rafael for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Giordani of Oroville; his daughter, Paula Lowry of San Rafael; two sons, Grant Giordani of San Rafael and Richard Giordani of Tahoe City; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Riccomi was a native of Italy and came to San Francisco when he was 12 years old. He moved to Marin with his nephew’s family and lived here until the family moved to Oroville.
Riccomi worked for Pete’s Landscaping and had also worked as a butcher.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Anna Meirs of San Francisco and numerous relatives.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the American Heart Fund.
