Sidney Fov Buried With Military Rites
Funeral service was held last Saturday forenoon from the Guy W. Jenness & Co. chapel at San Anselmo, for Sidney Foy, Fairfax city treasurer and World War veteran, who died Wednesday of last week at his home.
Interment took place at the National Cemetery, Presidio of San Francisco, by special permission from the War Department, appealed to by Mrs. Foy, whose father, Lieut. Alvin W. Stone, was in the Civil War with the famous “California Hundred,” and whose son, Ensign George S. Pomeroy, Jr., served in the Navy in World War I, and who died in an auto accident some years ago.
