Unidentified Suicide Found On Mountain
With a 32-calibre pistol gripped in one hand, the body of an unidentified man was found last Sunday afternoon on the slope of Mt. Tamalpais not far from Mill Valley.
Although badly decomposed, the remains are believed by Coroner J. Ray Keaton to be those of a man of about 30 years. He was dressed in a brown suit, brown cap and brown Oxford shoes. Near him lay a San Francisco Call and Post dated October 5, and a receipt of t he same date issued by the Palace Hardware Company, of San Francisco, for a box of 32-calibre cartridges. A leather belt worn by the dead man carried a buckle on which were engraved the initials “D. T.”
The remains were brought to the morgue by the Coroner and held for identification.
