ELMER WEDEN

Elmer A. Weden, 74, of 2775 Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Fairfax, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Boston. For more than 30 years, Weden was a partner in a department store in Manchester, Conn. He had lived in Fairfax for the past 12 years, working as an accountant.

He was an Army veteran of World War I, past president of the American Legion and of the Kiwanis Club in Manchester, and a 50-year member of the Free and Accepted Masons. He was president of the board of trustees of the Manchester Memorial Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy C. Weden; a son, Dr. Elmer A. Weden Jr. of San Anselmo, and two grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist Church of San Rafael. Inurnment will be private.

Memorial contributions to the Memorial Fund of the First Methodist Church of San Rafael are preferred by the family.
