CARLO MERLA
San Rafael – Carlo Merla of San Rafael, retired Marin Municipal Water District employee, died Sunday in a local convalescent hospital. He was 84.
He was born in Italy and moved to Marin in 1921. He worked 40 years for the water district.
He is survived by his wife, Angelina Merla of San Rafael; two sons, Louis J. Merla of San Rafael and Harry C. Merla of Concord; two sisters, Caroline Antolline of France and Louisesa Merla of Italy; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
