Aged Woman Struck By Electric Train
East bound electric train No. 817 out of Mill Valley, ran down Mary Howe Hagens, aged 63 years at 10:43 a.m. Tuesday as she was crossing the tract between Millwood and Park Station, Mill Valley. She was instantly killed. It is thought the aged woman did not hear the approaching train because of her deafness. She has a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Maloney living at Lansdale. She had been making her home with Supervisor and Mrs. Casper J. Gardner.
Deceased is from San Francisco, having lived in Mill Valley for only five months. She has other relatives in San Mateo county, where funeral services will be held today at Cypress Lawn Cemetery. The body was brought to this city by Coroner J. Ray Keaton.
