WILLIAM W. PERRY
Merced – A Mass of Christian Burial for William W. Perry, a Merced resident formerly of West Marin, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Mill Valley.
He died at his home on Wednesday after a sudden illness. He was 50.
He was born in Patterson, Stanislaus County.
He and his mother, Rosemary Rau, have lived in Merced since 1971. Before moving there, he had lived in Point Reyes Station for seven years. He also had lived in Forest Knolls for 10 years.
He had been a maintenance worker with the City Sewer Service in Point Reyes Station before retiring and moving to Merced.
He was a member of I.D.E.S., a Portuguese fraternal organization, in Merced.
Besides his mother, he is survived by a sister, Dorothy Souza of Planada, Merced County.
Visitation will be held at Russell and Gooch Funeral Chapel in Mill Valley after 10 a.m. Sunday. Private burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
