CHARLES ROBERTS
Charles Roberts, 70, a retired worker for the San Rafael Public Works Department, died Tuesday at a local convalescent hospital after a long illness.
Roberts, who retired in 1970, had worked for the city since 1946. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a native of North Dakota.
Surviving are a brother, Walter Roberts of East Grand Forks, Minn., and a sister, Faye Pederson of Hibbing, Minn.
Graveside services were held today at Mount Olivet Cemetery, San Rafael.
