LILLIAN CLAIRE TISSOT

A funeral Mass for Lillian Claiare Tissot, whose great-grandfather was San Francisco’s first mayor, will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, San Francisco.

Miss Tissot died Sunday in San Rafael.

Her ancestor was Francisco de Haro, first alcalde (mayor) of the village of Yerba Buena, which became San Francisco. Her grandmother, Natividad de Haro, was the first woman of European parentage born in the Presidio.

Miss Tissot was born in San Francisco and lived there all her life. She was retired after working many years in Southern Pacific’s offices.

She is survived by a brother, Robert G. Tissot of San Rafael.

The rosary was to be recited this afternoon at Carew and English Mortuary in San Francisco. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
