KATHERINE ALLEN
The last word was said in the pitiful tragedy that cost the life of Mrs. KATHERINE ALLEN of San Anselmo, at the Chapel of the Chimes, Oakland, on Friday. The funeral services were private, and according to her last expressed wish, cremation followed the funeral services, which were arranged by Keaton & Dusel.
Mrs. ALLEN took poison, and endeavored to take her 17 year old daughter, BETTY ALLEN, into oblivion by the same means, on Wednesday of last week. The reason was the daughter's presumably incurable ailment. But BETTY will live.
Mrs. ALLEN was 38. She leaves her husband, CECIL ALLEN; the daughter; her mother, Mrs. ELIZABETH CASSINA; 3 brothers, FRANK, ALBERT, and JOSEPH CASSINA and 4 sisters, Mrs. VICTORIA GRAFF, Mrs. JULIA VAN CLEAVE, Mrs. MARY IOTTA and Mrs. MARGARET MICHELS.
