THOMAS L. MACK
Former Santa Rosa City Councilman Thomas L. Mack, father of Barbara Selle of San Rafael, died Wednesday at his Santa Rosa home after a short illness. He was 87.
A native of Chicago, Mack had lived in Santa Rosa since 1908. He had served eight years on the City Council in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
Mack had owned the Pioneer Laundry in Santa Rosa for many years. He had served in the Army during World War I.
Mack was active in many organizations and was a life member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge. He also belonged to the Moose Lodge and was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Santa Rosa.
His wife, Mabel E. Mack, preceded him in death.
In addition to Mrs. Selle, he is survived by four other daughters, Elizabeth Mack, Patricia Kampmann, Esther Todd and Eleanor Buckley of Santa Rosa; a brother, William Mack of Santa Rosa; and 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Church. Recitation of the rosary will be at 8 p.m. today at the family home, 3990 Montecito Ave., Santa Rosa. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa.
