Boy Meets Death In Russian River
Tragic death came last Sunday to Robert T. Gilbert Jr., a Fairfax boy, who was drowned in Russian River while bathing. He was employed by the Pacific Gas & Electric Company and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Gilbert, of Manor.
It is believed that the boy was seized with cramps. Two girl companions swimming with him heard his cries for help and attempted without success to rescue him. The body was recovered shortly afterwards by W. D. Deane, of Berkeley. He was 21 years of age and a graduate of the San Rafael High School.
