W. G. von LOEWENFELDT
W. Gustave von Loewenfeldt, 88, of San Rafael, a retired Bay Area real estate broker, died Tuesday in San Francisco after a brief illness.
Von Loewenfeldt, who specialized in hotel investments, had served as vice president of the San Francisco real estate firm of Umbsen, Kerner and Stevens.
Before moving to California in 1947, he had been managing director of the Hotel Pierre in New York City.
Von Loewenfeldt has been a resident of Marin for six years and previously had been a longtime resident of San Francisco.
He was a native of Vienna, Austria.
Surviving are a son, Charles von Loewenfeldt of San Rafael; a daughter, Dushanne von Loewenfeldt of San Rafael; and six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Raphael’s Church, San Rafael. Burial will be at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael. The family prefers that memorial contributions be to Hospice of Marin, 77 Mark Drive, San Rafael, 94903.
