Peter Rasmussen Dies Suddenly
Last Friday the many friends of Peter Rasmussen were surprised and shocked to learn he had gone to join the great majority. He had been ill for sometime past but it was never supposed that fatal results would follow. A wife and two small children survive him.
Deceased was only 44 years old and had been a resident of this city for the past sixteen years. Formerly he was a gardner, but for several years has conducted a well patronized milk route in this city. He was a man of splendid character and enjoyed the friendship of many people. He was a member of Mira Monte Camp W. O. W., Dana Lodge No. 2, of San Francisco and Marin Lodge, I. O. O. F. of this city. The funeral was held under the auspices of the latter lodge at the hall on Fourth street at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon. After the impressive ceremonies had been performed the interment took place in Mount Tamalpais cemetery. The funeral was attended by many people who came to pay their respects to the departed.
