Richard Welch Dies After Long Illness
An illness of many months ended for Richard A. Welch last Thursday when he passed away at a hospital in Napa.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at t he California Crematorium in Oakland, to where the remains were removed by F. E. Sawyer Company.
The services were attended by the family relatives and a few close friends.
The deceased was well known here, where he had resided for many years and had been active in fraternal circles. He was a member of Unity Lodge No. 161, of the Odd Fellows, San Francisco; Mira Monte Camp No. 359 of the Woodmen, and Genessee Tribe No. 207 of the Independent Order of Red Men, both of San Rafael. A native of Massachusetts, he was 51 years of age.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Welch, and his step children, Arthur and Evelyn Tilson.
