Red Cross Worker Dies Suddenly At Ross Home

Mrs. Henry W. Gette (sic), chairman of the Ross branch of the Red Cross, died early Tuesday morning at her home in Ross. A member of the local Chamber praises the work of Mrs. Gette in the following communication:

“It is with the deepest regret that the Red Cross announces the death of one of its oldest workers, Mrs. Henry W. Gette who has been branch chairman at Ross for many years. Mrs. Gutte’s (sic) death occurred late Monday night at her home in Ross after a short illness, and her loss will be deeply felt by Marin County Chapter of the Red Cross.

“From the very moment that the help of the Red Cross was called upon by the president and all through the World War no woman gave more of her time or greater help than she. For more that a year Mrs. Gutte worked every day at the Red Cross headquarters then established by the Ross branch taking charge of the wonderful work done by the women of Ross, and through peace times her interest and help have been unfailing. The branch chairman and the directors of Marin County Chapter feel that they have sustained a great loss in her death.”
