Death Takes Aged Woman Of Ignacio
Mrs. Marianna Smith, wife of Manuel Smith, resident of Ignacio, died at her home there Wednesday at the age of 70 years. Besides the husband the deceased is survived by one son and a daughter – Manuel V. Smith and Mrs. Joseph W. Foster. She was a native of the Azores Islands, and came to this county when a child. She was an honored member of Aurora Council No. 31, U.P.P.E.C. of this city.
The funeral will be held Friday at 10 o’clock from the Catholic Church at Novato, where a requiem high mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul. Friends may call at her late home in Ignacio.
Interment will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, San Rafael, under the direction of the F. E. Sawyer Co.
