ALBERT J. MOFFAT
A memorial service for Albert J. Moffat of Fairfax, yachtsman and owner of a private investigation agency, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo.
Moffatt (sic) died Tuesday in his home after a brief illness. He was 56.
He formerly was commodore of the Loch Lomond Yacht Club and a member of the St. Francis Yacht Club. He was a director of the San Francisco Commercial Club and a member of the Commonwealth Club.
Born in San Diego, he served in the Navy during World War II and Korea. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home; a son, Kurt Moffat of San Rafael; two daughters, Kristin Lewandowski and Karen Hopkins, both of Reno, and three grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Marin Heart Association.
