Young Man Falls From Moving Train
Edward L. Murray, young son of James S. Murray of Kentfield, died last Monday afternoon at the Emergency hospital following a fall in which he fractured his skull, while attempting to board a moving electric train at Kentfield bound for San Francisco.
Young Murray, who is employed by the Admiral Line at San Francisco, was on his way to work when the accident happened. He attempted to catch the rear car of the 7:20 A.M. train out of Kentfield, bur slipped and fell heavily to the track. Noel O’Connell, a friend, saw what had happened and jumped from the train. He found young Murray in an unconscious condition.
A passing truck was hailed and Murray was taken to the Emergency hospital where he died in the afternoon, and the body taken to Sawyer’s Funeral Home. Requiem high mass was held this morning at 10 A.M. at St. Raphael’s Church.
Besides a father and mother, the deceased leaves four brothers and two sisters. They are Louis, Frank A., Phillip, Theresa, Estelle, William and Jack Murray. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart College, San Francisco, class of 1923.
