Thomas Almy Drops Dead At Hospital

Thomas Almy, one of the early residents of San Rafael, where in former years he had been well established in the contracting business, died at the County Hospital Wednesday at the age of 67 years, from heart failure. The funeral will be held Friday at 1 o’clock from the Sawyer Company’s Parlors, Reverend Ernest Bradley, of St. John’s Episcopal Church officiating. The body will be interred at Mt. Tamalpais cemetery.

The deceased is survived by a son, Henry Almy, living in San Francisco, and a married daughter, Emma, living in San Anselmo. A brother, Charles Almy, of San Quentin, also survives.

Almy has many friends in this city and was generally known throughout the county. He was considered highly proficient at his trade and all of his work was efficiently and honestly done.
