JAMES C. NICHOLSON
A memorial service will be held today at 2 p.m. in Tiburon for James C. Nicholson of Corte Madera.
Mr. Nicolson (sic), 53, died unexpectedly Thursday at his home.
He had been a computer consultant and had taught computer science at San Francisco State University.
JAMES C. NICHOLSON
James C. Nicholson of Corte Madera died unexpectedly Thursday at his home in Corte Madera. He was 53.
Mr. Nicholson, a native of San Francisco, lived in the Bay Area all his life. He moved to Marin when he married 16 years ago.
He was a computer consultant. He also had taught computer science at San Francisco State University where he had earned a master's degree in the subject in the late 1970s/
Mr. Nicholson was an amateur photographer who focused primarily on nature photography. He was a member of the Photographic Society of America.
He also was a ham radio operator, a member of the Masons and the First Church of Christ Scientist in Larkspur, a Korean War veteran and active in Scouting.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Nicholson of Corte Madera; a son, Michael Nicholson of Altadena, Los Angeles County, a daughter, Rebecca Nicholson of Renton, Wash.; a sister, Geraldine Nicholson of San Francisco; and a step-daughter, Susan Nicholson of Corte Madera.
Services are pending at Daphne's Funeral Home in Corte Madera.
