FREDERICK A. ROEMER

A funeral for Frederick A. Roemer of Petaluma, a former Mill Valley businessman, will be held at noon Saturday at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma.

Mr. Roemer died Sunday in a traffic accident near Petaluma. He was 67.

He was born and reared in Mill Valley and graduated from Tamalpais High School. He worked for a short time as firefighter in Mill Valley and had been active many years as a volunteer firefighter there.

Mr. Roemer owned and operated the Tamalpais Lumber Co. in Mill Valley from 1957 until 1980. He moved to Petaluma in the late 1970s.

He was a former member of the Mill Valley Lions Club. He served in the Navy from 1939 to 1945.

He is survived by his wife, Fae F. Roemer of Petaluma; a son, Fred W. Roemer of Petaluma; two brothers, Bill Roemer of San Anselmo and George Roemer of Sebastopol; and three grandsons.

Friends may call at the mortuary after 8 a.m. Saturday. A private burial will be at Cypress Hill Memorial Park in Petaluma.
