JAMES (PAT) CASEY

Funeral services for JAMES (PAT) CASEY, San Francisco newspaperman and a Sausalito resident, who died suddenly at his home Friday morning, were held at the chapel of Keaton's Mortuary Monday. They were followed by a requiem mass at St. Raphael's Church, and interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, San Mateo County. He was a navy ensign in the first World War, and then, with his brother TERENCE CASEY, wrote several books and short stories for national magazines. He worked in the editorial departments of both the Chronicle and Examiner, and in 1925 was on the Herald Tribune staff in Paris. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. ELSA CASEY, by his brother, TERRENCE CASEY, and by two sisters, Mrs. MARGARET BELL and Mrs. RAE RUSSELL, all of whom are Marin County residents.
