STUART B. DUNBAR
San Francisco's Ace Man in Publicity World

STUART B. DUNBAR, formerly one of the most able newspaper workers in San Francisco, and until recently the city's most efficient publicity man, died at his home at Dutch Flat Sunday of a heart attack. Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Colfax.

For many years, DUNBAR made his home at Belvedere. For 6 years, or from 1931 to 1937, he was a member of the Democratic County Central Committee of Marin County. He numbered his friends in Marin County and in San Francisco by the hundreds. For many years he was publicity director for the Rewood Empire Association, and had friends in all of the many counties which that organization embraces. Also, for a long period of time he was in charge of Golden Gate Bridge publicity and did publicity for the Golden Gate International Exposition during its second year of operation. Leaving newspaper and publicity work in the Bay region about a year ago, he became publisher of the Sierra Sentinel at Dutch Flat.

His newspaper work included the San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Daily News, and the old Bulletin. He was 54 years old. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. ALLIS DUNBAR, and his daughter, JANET DUNBAR. He was a native of San Francisco.

Mr. DUNBAR was in the balloon corps in the World War and was a member of FREDERICK G. BUNCH Post of the Legion - "the newspapermen's post".
