JIM HARRISON
Jim Harrison, a Marin Catholic High School senior, died at his home in San Anselmo Tuesday after a long illness. He was 17.
The teen-ager discovered he had heart disease when he was 12. For the past five years, he fought bravely against the disease, family members said.
Young Harrison was born in Alabama.
Survivors are his parents, Marsha Harrison of San Anselmo and Tom Harrison of Terra Linda; and his grandparents, Doris and Sam Unger of Alabama, and Toni and Frank Kucklick of San Francisco.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church, 373 Bon Air Road, Kentfield. Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery, Boaz, Ala. The family prefers contributions to the Jim Harrison Heart Fund, c/o Creative Health Foundation, 633 San Anselmo Ave., San Anselmo, 94960.
