HILDA McLENNAN
Hilda McLennan of San Rafael, a former restaurant owner, died Tuesday at the Rafael Convalescent Hospital after a long illness. She was 85.
Mrs. McLennan was a native of England. From there, she moved to Vancouver, Canada, before coming to California in 1925. She moved to Marin County in the early 1950s.
Mrs. McLennan owned and operated the Big Bear Fountain restaurant in Fairfax for several years.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald and Kenneth McLennan, both of San Rafael; a sister, Mary Waytes of Vancouver; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
At her request, no funeral will be held. Burial will be private at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
