DON CARLOS ALDEN

A Mass of Christian Burial for Don Carlos Alden of Santa Rosa, a former resident of Fairfax, will be celebrated at noon Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Santa Rosa.

Mr. Alden, 62, died Tuesday at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born in the state of Washington.

He was the owner of D’Alden Shoe Salon in San Rafael, which closed in 1972. He owned and operated the store for 10 years.

For the past 13 years, he owned and operated Tate’s Shoe Service in Santa Rosa.

Mr. Alden also served as volunteer choir director and solo singer in Catholic churches in Marin and Santa Rosa.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Alden of Santa Rosa; and a son, Dino Alden of Santa Rosa.
